The Top 10 Deer Blinds For the Money – Final Thoughts
A deer blind can be the perfect addition to your hunting gear. Always remember to consider your prey, and what time of the year you will be hunting. This way you always choose a camo pattern that is going to give you the maximum concealment in the wild.
Interested in the Primos Double Blind, thinking about leaving this out all year round. I live in Texas. Do you think the hunting blind will hold up to the weather?
I wouldn’t recommend it. The blind is fairly easy to set up and I am afraid that the sun and elements will wear down the outside material of your blind. I would just recommend setting it up each time you need to use it.
Can I leave the big cat 350 outside and how exactly do I get into the big cat 350?
As long as it is grounded or staked down well enough that it won’t blow away, the Big Cat 350 Hub Blind can be left outside. The color may fade over time and the blind may be damaged when under heavy loads (snow, etc…). And as for entering it, the Big Cat 350 Hub Blind does not open in a triangular “door panel” on one side. Instead, it zips up from the ground to the ceiling.
Overall, I like the ameristep tent chair blind but it is a little bit small. You’ll need a short barrel riffle or a pistol to hunt comfortably.
I agree, it looks good but it is a bit too small for me.
Just received the ameristep care taker hub blind-realtree xtra. Its a good blind but the door zipper a bit fussy. Overall, this product is decent but it could use some improvement.
Been using it for a few weeks now and it works good and as expected for deer hunting.
Bought the doghouse hunting blind and found it to be a bit tricky to use with a bow. Still a pretty decent product for its price. Where do I buy spare poles, though?
For your replacement parts, you can buy it from the Ameristep website. – http://www.ameristep.com/replacement-parts-18.html
How do you get inside the double bull ground blind if it doesn’t use zippers or velcros? And how does it stay closed?
The Primos Double Bull Deluxe Ground Blind uses a combination of toggles and buckles. Its very simple, to enter you just undo the toggles and then the buckle. Its the exact opposite for closing it.
I don’t know how long it will last but I like the big windows on the doghouse blind. Perfect for using a crossbow!
Great job! I am glad to visit your blog ! from this i can get some useful tips that i didn’t know before. You made my day.
Hunting from a ground blind can be one of the most effective ways to hunt, but – depending on the critter you’re going after
Where do I buy replacement pieces for the big cat 350?
You could buy them from the manufacturer’s website. Here’s the link: http://www.barronettblinds.com/Parts/Structure/960. Thanks for the question!
The Primos 6093 is compact, and easy to carry. Works well enough.
The Tangkula ground hunting portable blind is a great product for its price. 5 stars!
The double bull is a bit on the heavy side and a little cumbersome to carry arround (especially with chairs and other equipment) but I still prefer this over the others. This one does not have velcros.
How much does it weight?
I think it weights around 30 pounds.
Are the zippers really loud? Most of the reviews I’ve read say that it was too loud for them.
It is a bit loud but its not that much of a problem for me.
love the big cat 350! one of the best purchases i’ve made!
Is it big enough for about 3 adults?
I suppose it could fit 3 adults, if they were small enough. I don’t think it would be comfortable. But it is large enough for a heavy-set guy like me.
Is the Evolved Ingenuity IRX2S010 Doghouse Ground Blind easy to setup? And how many people could fit in it?
Yes, it is easy to set-up. But you do have to place 2 cross rods on the inside for structural integrity. And it depends on the size of the persons in it. But I reckon, it can fit two, maybe three at most.
Great price and easy to setup. The Ameristep Tent Chair Blind is one of the best purchases I’ve made.
The double bull deluxe would have been a perfect choice but it doesn’t have a floor. I think it is the only drawback. But it still is easily the best one of the lot!
The Tangkula is my favorite. Been using it since October of last year. Really simple to set up and take down! Would reccommend it!
Love the full length zippered door on the BE650BT Beast Ground Blind. Really easy to get inside! And the interior is amazingly large. I think it could even accommodate more than 6 people!
I totally agree. Bought one two years ago.
Are the doors or windows on the Tangkula Ground Hunting Blind Portable zipper or velcro?
Zippers, but very quiet. Have one since last year.
Primos brushes in nicely and doesn’t have issues with collapse.
The Ameristep is an easy fold up and carry. Only issue I have is with the front blind.
The BE650BT is a beast of a tent! Great tent for hunting with friends or family!
Had the 1RX2S010 for a few years now and I would recommend it to a friend. I’ve used it with a crossbow and a muzzleloader and had several successful shots. It works really well.
I agree, I bought one about a year ago. Very easy to set up, lightweight, and portable!
I have both the IRXS2010 and the Primos Double Bull Deluxe Ground Blind and I’ve found that while the IRXS2010 features an excellent price, it comes short compared to the Primos Double Bull Deluxe Ground Blind. Its zippers and velcro are loud, and its hardly comfortable for two men to occupy.
How many people would the Tangkula fit?
According to the manufacturer it could comfortably fit 2 people but can accommodate up to 3 people.
